Scripture Portion: II Corinthians 5: 17
“Belief in the Resurrection does not start with the fact of the empty tomb, not only the fact that dead men rise. It begins with the truth that crucified men rise. In other words, only those who have in some way presided over the crucifixion of their pride and selfishness ever know what it is to rise from the dead. They become ‘new creatures.’”
